The quarter is almost over! Where does the time go? So what are we doing in the art room??? Tons!
Drawing and Design-
Finishing up mixed media bottle drawings, they are turning out awesome! Of course its Zentangle Friday and this group rocks at zentangles!
Drawing I-
Birds' Eye View 1 pt perpective drawings- they are really taking their time to make sure everything is perfect!
Clay-
The clay class is getting ready to start throwing on the wheel! But for now they are working on combo pots, some interesting ideas are popping up!
Drawing II-
A mixed bag with these students- most are working on their 24x36 drawings- some are doing an image while others are doing letter art!
Painting-
Jim Dine bottles- lots of experimenting going on here- some got their modeling paste put on their canvas today and they look great!
Digital Camera has it own blog- but here are pictures of them taking their oil and water photos- we invaded the hallways to use the natural light from the hallway!
Photoshop-
Back to ABC's. They are creating a typographic alphabet! I can't wait to see what they come up with!

Painting's Jim Dine Bottles
What do Jim Dine, Andy Warhol and CHS's Painting Class have in common? They all painted the same image over and over again using different techniques or colors.
We are going to paint 4 bottles using 4 different techniques.
1. Normal- an everyday realistic painting.
2. Texture with modeling paste.
3. Scrafito- layered paint
4. Free choice using a technique from one ofthe books.

Drawing I One Point Prepective
You will be creating 1 point perspective drawings of cities from a bird's eye view. You will need an 18x18 sheet of paper.
